PSUK were contracted to provide pontoons and safety boat cover for dredging works to a tidal river. The works involved the dredging of approximately 300m of river bed in open watercourse and additional activities under a Network Rail bridge asset on the West Coast Mainline. Due to the confined nature of the tidal works under the asset, PSUK assisted with and then completed the engineering solutions and calculations for the works and subsequently formulated the emergency procedures as required. PSUK supplied 6 no. pontoons for this project along with a small 3m RIB capable of efficient working within the tight confines of the river.
